Enhancing Your Candle's Lifespan: Tips for Candle Care
Trim the Wick: Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4" using scissors or wick trimmers. This ensures a clean, safe burn and extends the candle's lifespan.
Allow Complete Melting: Ensure the wax melts to the jar's edges during each burn to prevent tunneling, especially crucial during the initial burn.
Prioritize Safety: Never leave a lit candle unattended and limit burning time to 4 hours. Safeguard surfaces by placing the candle on a coaster or tile. Avoid placing a lit candle near clothing, books, curtains, or anything flammable. Set candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that's ample enough to contain melted wax. Ensure lit candles are kept away from drafts, ceiling fans, or any air currents. Extinguish all candles before leaving a room, going to sleep, or if the flame nears the holder or container.
Candle Limit: Stop burning when 1/4" to 1/2" of wax remains. Insufficient wax can overheat the jar when the candle is lit.
Reuse Opportunities: After the candle is used up, repurpose the jar! It can be transformed into a planter, pencil holder, or anything you prefer.
